Trip to Langkawi vs Muadz fever

Kuala Perlis, almost everybody knows about this angler’s village. Located 10km from Kangar, having nearly 10,000 populations, nearby Langkawi, and always full by the tourist during school and public holiday. Although, my home just across the jetty to Langkawi, I just can count how many time I make a visit to that legend island. Normally, people go there to buy glassware, batiks, and seafood stuff. Last year, I went there with my family. The intention was to visit Kulim Geoforest Park. We took a taxi; the journey was about 20 minutes from Kuah Jetty to the park. My youngest son was excited when I told him that we would take a boat to round the park. Luckily, the passenger waiting for the boat was a few; later, we caught a very nice boat harboring the jetty. The visit took about 45minutes. The boatmen brought us to various places; feeding the eagle with chicken meat, feeding the fish, went to see bat cave (a lot of bat hanging above us, we need to use torchlight to spot them). I think this visit was a brilliant way to keep my two sons keeps their mind buzzing. With information and quirky facts to explain everything, this visit will hopefully amaze, amuse, satisfy and inspire!

Break…………

Last night my eldest son (Muadz Mirza) was, sick (high fever plus coughing so badly). He could not sleep, every minute he woke up, and then I gave him some medicine. Alhamdullilah, he was getting better. He asked me; Mama why do I get ill sometimes. I tried to answer the simplest way. I hope he understands. I told him that when a part of his body stops working properly, he would get ill. Illness often happened because things called germs got inside your body, dear. Mama, what are germs? Oops, another question pops up from him. Ok, let me put this way, germs are tiny living things, far too small to see. There are billions of them around, on and in you all the time. Most germs will not hurt you, but some of them can make you ill if they get inside you, perhaps through a cut, your blood gets to work on the germs and kill them. Is that ok with the answer, my son? Mama, do I need injections? Abang, (I addressed my son) yes if a drugs need to be put straight into your blood. Nobody likes it, but a little scratch or prick is better than being ill for a long time. Abang was happy with the answer. He slept well until this morning. Thanks God!! Last year abang was admitted to hospital due to bronchitis. Sad when I was looking at him…skinny, tired, refused to eat…maybe he still remembered of having many tube around him… ehmm…. Hope not again.
