Macam-macam

It has been long time not blogging. I had a lot of things to do, starting from a trip to Kuala Lumpur for Visa application, moving out from quarters, packing several belongings, and many more. My hubby just went back to the UK just recently. But still with his help I could do several things faster. Only 10 days left before departure. I hope to get Visa by this week. In other words, I have to go to KL again this or perhaps next week. Abang and adik are very happy as they knew that they would go to his ABAH in just a couple of days. As usual, ABAH couldn’t be alone at our ‘new’ home in Newcastle. He repeatedly called us at home. Sometimes, it more than 5 times per day. Abah, please make yourself busy with something ok!!!!
Abang just like abang, always active and very happy with his new look. When I said about ‘new look’, abang need to wear glasses!!... His both eyes reach about 350 plus…(the power) and ‘silau”. We went to optometrist yesterday, try to fetch suitable frame for him. I think abang a bit fussy with his glasses, he tried many pairs of frame, nothing suit him until, one fellow girl, gave him blackish and half frame which I think go well with him. Happy with that!...but he urge me to take that only frame back with him. We had a talk a couple of minute persuading him not to behave like that. At first, he still ‘masam mencuka’, after a while, okla!!! Handsome pulak anak mama ni!!..tak la boleh lawan ultraman lagi dengan adik as for sure your glasses will fly together with the ‘ultraman’ action.

At office, still have walk in patient requesting many sort of treatment. I’m sorry sir my time is just so limited to do extraordinary treatment. Simple filling plus extraction I could do for you!! The new officer will report duty on this Friday. There are two of them. One is Chinese man and another one is Malay lady. Both of them are very new in service. I hope that they will coop with so many workloads, management, staffs, ISO, patient!! I really hope that they could bring this clinic to the best ever dental clinics in my state. During my stay, I have done so and so to ensure this place is better than other. We always become the example to other clinic. Why? It because our commitment to every works, activities that we had done yearly. I’m really happy staying here, surrounding with easy going people, hardworking, and committed friends. Sad to think that a couple of day more I will leave of this building facing the new setting that I couldn’t still describe. I hope with this choice I will insyallah be a better me in the coming future. Hope after three years abroad, I will come back and serve my nations efficiently. That’s my promise.

Today, 14 of August, my staffs did farewell for me and dr f. we had our lunch at Seaview Restaurant. Dr F a bit late as she need to travel from alor setar to reach here. We started a bit late though! The food was good and we enjoy it very much. I had to give a final say to my staff. Rasa sedih juga, but I can control myself, but dr f, berlenangan air mata jugala… we had gone through hard and tough time together to bring what we had now in KP Kuala Perlis. As ‘kenangan’ they gave me ‘cenderahati’. Sebenarnya, I did tell them that I need a new’ telekong’, tapi tak ada yang cantik. So dah dapat pun this new one… thank you so much!!

p/s:Abang started wearing his new glasses. He looked so cute.

Choosing a dentist

What should you look for when choosing a dentist?

You may wish to consider several dentists before making your decision. During your first visit, you should be able to determine if this is the right dentist for you. Consider the following:

  • Is the appointment schedule convenient for you?
  • Is the office easy to get to from your home or job?
  • Does the office appear to be clean, neat and orderly?
  • Was your medical and dental history recorded and placed in a permanent file?
  • Does the dentist explain techniques that will help you prevent dental health problems? Is dental health instruction provided?
  • Are special arrangements made for handling emergencies outside of office hours? (Most dentists make arrangements with a colleague or emergency referral service if they are unable to tend to emergencies.)
  • Is information provided about fees and payment plans before treatment is scheduled?
  • Is your dentist a member of the GDC (General Dental Council)? All GDC member dentists voluntarily agree to abide by the high ethical standards reflected in the GDC Principles of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct as a condition of their membership.

You and your dentist are partners in maintaining your oral health. Take time to ask questions and take notes if that will help you remember your dentist's advice. Hope every one of you happy to have a visit to Dental Clinic nearby you at least ones a year.

Aerobic class

Athletics has always been important to my family; my late father played quarterback for his high school football team when they won upper-state championship, followed by my mom, she was also active in sports. Before I even reached the age of five years, my father had taught me how to swing and hit T-Ball. Soon after that, I could hit a fast-pitched baseball and slide into home plate. Hahah! Abis semua mak punya pinggan pecah! Unfortunately, during the 1980s girls were rarely seen play this game as it was very new game. Every now and then I used to play netball or became runner.

Once I began dental school and then again, once I began full-time dental practice, my sedentary lifestyle took its toll on my health and my body: I gained 9 kg in six year (from around 50 to almost 59++). I need to do something. Since my hubby was not around, I think I need to ‘manjakan’ diri by attending spas or going into aerobic class. So pikir punya pikir, I decided to register with one Aerobic class in my town. At first day I was so energetic to attend the class as I wanted to know how it was going on. Aiyaa… the first day was so ‘berterabur’ plus I got back pain, muscle ache. I didn’t gave-up. I went the second day and until now. The session was worth it. Although here and there missing in action, I knew that a strong fitness program was necessary to regain my body and health. My weight remain static, but the difference I noticed was my tummy, getting slimmer sikit la!!! Heheh I hope my husband-getting impress with my new emergence. New look, new style! Nowadays, I feel myself a bit healthier, fit and strong than before as every day I am doing the exercise. It helps me to relax and enjoy myself while doing the movements. I wish I could say “I lost bla-bla pound or kgs”, still hoping for a new weight!! For me if The Almighty chooses me to be healthy through out my life, I am very grateful. That is the point. Good health is for everybody. Take care of food intake, regular exercise, and gain a good happy lifestyle. Do not create stress in our daily life. Be happy and do not worry.

Abg Muadz

The principal Ms Balvinder requested to see me regarding the progress report of abg at school. A bit surprised as 5 years old boy, he had three assessments, done with a good result (BM 84, BI 80, and Science 91). Ehmm looking at his exam paper simply like the question I took when I was in year 1, 25 years ago. Soo tough!! I am sure, when abg in year 1 in two years time, the question was a bit harder than this. Therefore, I guess he would follow the path in which the exam oriented is the measure for grouping him as an outstanding, average, or just satisfactory. I send my kid to kidder garden when he reached 4. He started to know the abc stuff so early, hoping that he could manage to read by age 5. Ambitious mother haah! So many things I want my abg and adik to involve in, attend music class, at least they can play one musical instrument, swimming class, chest class…..etc. During my time, there was no such program. So now kira balas dendam lah!!! Kesian my abg n adik. Abg started quran at age 4 plus. Now he going to qaraati 3. Nowadays, he was a bit lazy or ding-dong with me to read quran, as he had so many cartoons to watch. Tv ni pun satu hal juga. I urge myself to be as the crow flies with him. I have to discipline myself so that I can knob abg properly. It was not very easy to teach quran by your own. I took this challenge, although I knew, it was tough and not easy. Good luck to me though!!!

Simple and short

Walaaaa!!! Sunday was my busiest day ever. I started to do all the hanky packing. The first to start with was the kitchen. I didn’t noticed that since six years ago I had bought so many glassware and tupperware! I couldn’t believe it! That was why my husband always nagging at me. Where should I put those entire things? I think I should organize yard sale or car boot sale to do all the clearance!!! Hello! Hello! Who want my things? Aiya nobody want oldies item…

So tired cleaning the house, our stomach was grooming. What should we make for lunch? My abg suggested that we had laksa, but not ‘beli’ ones, but home-made laksa. So, staring at the clock, it seemed too late to go to market to buy fish, then I decided to go to ‘pelantar ikan’ nearby the sea. Started the car, heading toward it, luckily all fresh fish were there, the fishermen boat just arrived and I and my Bibi need to bring the plastic bag to get certain amount of the fish. We had 2kg of fresh “ikan selayang’for only RM4 to make ‘kuah laksa’… sure delicious…want the recipes?

How to make “laksa kuala perlis “!!!

Aiyaa… I have no specific ingredients on how to make kuah laksa, First I rang up my mom to ask the list of all item, then I just follow my instinct on how much of each to put. As long as the kuah laksa finally jadi. Hheheh… until now my instinct is still correct and acceptable as everything that I cooked “menjadi’ and alhamdullilah everybody like it especially my mother in law (MIL). That was good enough to impress all my in law. Ehmmm ok let see the final result lah!!!

Ha.. This is my home-made laksa. You can see but you cannot eat!! Yummy

Happy Father's Day

Today abg came back from his school with something! He was so impatient to show me something impressive art he did at school. I didn’t expect any thing as he was not really artistic. He didn’t do well in coloring and also drawing. Same as me, I’m not very skillful at anything that to be relate at art work like drawing, coloring and the worst part writing. I’m kind of straight-forward person. Don’t know how to be so creative, perhaps my ehmm which one ya left or right brain… don’t know la… can’t function to the maximum level.

Back to my abg drawing….he shown me this…..

What do you thinks his card to his ABAH? Okey lah kan.. can give 3 Stars. Then I opened the inner part of it…. He wrote this words…..

although there is here and there spelling error, i thing the effort is count. Thank you abg for giving this card to ABAH. We are now counting the time to be with you really soon!!
